How to test payment links, QR codes and invoice

If you'd like to test our payment flows without ever transferring any money, then you can use a Sandbox bank account. This is created all new users, although some pre-existing accounts may not have a sandbox account by default. If you can't see one then please contact support@fena.co.

Please note, this guide is for manually testing individual payments. If you'd like to set-up a test integration, then you can find the guide here.

Step 1:

Navigate to Payments in the top bar, and then select either Invoice, QR code or Pay by link. Then just hit the Create button in the top right

Step 2:

Add the relevant payment details (only the reference and amount are mandatory), and then make sure the bank account selected is "Sandbox" and hit "Approve & send"

Step 3

Scan the QR code or copy the payment link, select the sandbox bank account you'd like to use, and follow the sandbox instructions provided (these appear above the selected bank). If on desktop, you can hit "Continue on desktop" below the generated QR code

Step 4

Complete the payment via the bank's sandbox. Whether you complete the payment or cancel, you'll be redirected accordingly. 

Step 5

You can then view your sandbox transactions by using the filters - by default they are hidden, but just hit the filter option within the transactions page and select "Sandbox"
