Making payments with fena is easy, quick and secure. This guide explains how to make a payment via desktop. If you’d like to see how to make a payment via mobile, see here
Step 1
How you start the payment journey can vary slightly, depending on whether you are making a payment from an eCommerce website, or have been sent a link to make a payment. However, the process is virtually the same:
eCommerce:
Just select the “Pay by bank” option at checkout and then continue
Payment link
If you’ve been sent a payment link, just click on the link and it will push you to the next stage
Step 2: Select your bank
You will have been redirected to a page which shows you a summary of the transaction details, and also has a list of available banks you can pay with. You just need to select your bank and hit continue
Step 3: Mobile vs online banking
After selecting your bank and hitting continue, you’re presented with a choice, you can either continue on desktop or switch to mobile for a quicker, easier checkout
Mobile banking
- Scan the QR code with your mobile, this will launch your banking app to approve the payment, and is the easiest option
- Login to your mobile app using biometrics, password or pin
- Review the payment details and then continue/authorise the payment
Continue on desktop
- If you don’t want to or can’t use mobile banking, you can opt to continue on desktop.
- This will launch your online banking - login using your card reader, password and one time code, or other method determined by your bank
- Review the payment details and continue/authorise the payment
Step 4: Redirect
Once you have completed the payment, you will be redirected to a success page, letting you know the payment has been initiated successfully (or, if something happens to go wrong, a page to let you know).
If you were making a payment via a payment link, then you can now close the tab.
If it was an eCommerce payment, you can choose to return back to the shop
And that's it! You've made the payment quickly and securely.
