How to install and set-up the fena WooCommerce plugin

Step 1 - Installing the fena payment gateway plugin for WooCommerce

Option 1 - Use the WordPress plugin directory 

  1. Go to the Plugin tab of the WordPress dashboard

  2. Click on ‘Add new plugin’ 

  3. Search for the fena Payment Gateway

  4. Click ’Install’ 

  5. After it’s installed, click ‘Activate’





Option 2 - Upload a plugin as a zip file 

  1. Download the fena Payment Gateway plugin as a zip file, just hit the download button from here.

  2. Go to the ‘Plugin’ tab of the WordPress dashboard

  3. Click on ‘Upload Plugin’ 

  4. Choose the zip file with the fena Payment Gateway plug-in and click ‘Install now’

  5. You should get a message ‘The plugin has been successfully installed’


Step 2 - In the WP Dashboard, click on ‘WooCommerce’ 

  1. Go to ‘Settings’ in the ‘WooCommerce’ tab

  2. Click on the ‘Payment’ tab

  3. You should see a list of various payment gateways and fena should be among them

  4. Click on the ‘Manage’ button next to fena 

  5. You will see the fena Payment Gateway setup page including a place to copy Integration ID and Integration Secret from your fena Merchant account. It’s also the place where you can access your Webhook URL and Redirect URL to copy into your fena Merchant account (you will need these in Step 3). See screenshot below:

Step 3 - Open a new window in the browser and go to: https://business.fena.com

  1. Create a new fena account or log into your existing fena account 

  2. Once set-up, navigate to Settings (cog icon) > Manage Integrations


  3. Then click on + New website or app

  4. Fill in the following fields:

    1. Website / App Name: With the name of your shop 

    2. Payment Notification URL: Go back to the Payment tab in WooCommerce and copy the value next to Payment Notification URL. Then, paste it here.

    3. Redirect URL:  Go back to the Payment tab in WooCommerce and copy the value next to Redirect URL. Then, paste it here. 

    4. Select the bank account you would like linked to your WooCommerce 

    5. Decide whether or not you'd like to receive payment notifications for payments received

  5. Click ‘Create’ 

  6. Once created, click back into the new integration, and you should see:

    1. Terminal ID

    2. Terminal Secret 


  7. Copy each of those and go back the Payment tab in WooCommerce to paste these two values in the Integration ID and Integration Secret fields respectively.



  8. Click ‘Save changes” 

You are good to go! Now you can take fena payments in your WooCommerce shop.
